Baffle support front "S" bar: - 17-3/4" long 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" x 1/4" angle with 17-3/4" long 2" x 3/16" formed deflector bar (with 60 degree bend).
Baffle Removal and Replacement
1.Push the front firebricks up and feed them forward, guiding them out the door. Repeat for the rear firebricks.
2 The baffle supports rest on support tabs.
3 The bypass support and damper are difficult to remove and should only be removed if necessary. Remove the rear secondary air tube (see the following section for instructions). Slide the bypass support forward until the bypass rod can be disconnected from the bypass damper. Slide the damper forward and remove. The bypass support is removed by sliding it forward and rotating it downwards (the bypass holder fits very snug in-side the firebox and is very heavy, making it difficult to remove). The bypass gasket rests on the side and rear air channels. Try not to damage it when removing the bypass holder.

Sturdily-built replacement
This front S-baffle is one of two parts in our Lopi 1750 stove which must be replaced every few years. This one is at a particularly hot location in the firebox and eventually gets eroded by the flame. I'm pleased to see that the potential gap between the two parts composing this piece is sealed with a continuous bead of weld. That should limit the erosion to spots only along the edge of the baffle, rather than in the middle of the assembly. Again, Rocky Mountain had the best overall price, considering parts purchase and shipping. The part arrived only a few days after it was ordered, despite it being about a 2000-mile trip.
