Not all vent pipe is built the same. This Piece has a 6" round female end sticking up/out. your venting will need to have a male end that is slightly smaller then 6"

Oval sizing could be improved
For a manufacturer-specific (and expensive) adapter, I was disappointed how poorly the oval end fit into the standard Hearthstone flue exit. I had to make cuts of the rigid metal to get the oval to collapse, and even then it's not a very nice fit. The placement of the oval off to the side was excellent though, because I needed to flip the adapter around so that the 6" pipe exit was lower, allowing me a little more room to get my pipes adjusted to fit into the chimney liner.
