1st off, I want to say that Rocky Mountain Stoves is an excellent company to deal with!! Their communication and service is stellar. I will be a return customer for any future parts I need for my Hearthstone Equinox 8000. They totally rock. As far as the upper ash grate. This last grate makes the 3rd grate for the stove. The original lasted about 7 yrs, and was handled as a warranty replacement. The original grate was warped but not broken. The replacement grate lasted only 2 years and was both warped and broken in a couple of areas. I can accept that the 1st grate warping. The stove is running 24/7 throughout the winter. However, the replacement grate only lasting 2 winters and the condition it was was worse. Nothing as far as burning procedures changed through the years has changed. I did talk directly with the Hearthstone Tech who gave me some thoughts on what might have been the issue. I performed all the suggestions he had so it will be interesting to see if that corrects the problem.

Was unable to find replacement grate, Rocky Mountain had just the right piece and received it quickly. Thank you Rocky Mountain for the excellent service.
