BEFORE YOU BUY: This is the Small Hinge Pin Door for stoves that have small 1/4" hinge pins welded to the body of the stove. They no longer make the large hinge pin style doors.

Avalon Large Black Complete Door
The door is excellent and fit perfectly. I’d give it 5 stars except the black paint of the door face not so much it’s terrible. All around the door end near the handle area the aluminum is showing and the paint just comes off if my glove touches it. Terrible paint job and very thin. I’ll have to spend additional money end of season and repaint it.

fits and works great - too bad there is a wood handle on it - this will eventually burn and fall off!!

Replacement Door for Avalon 1196
I wanted to replace the door to a wood stove that was only made for about three years around 1990. I was having a hard time finding any website that didn't say things like "no longer available," "unable to ship out of state" and other reasons why I couldn't purchase the door. When I found the Rocky Mountain Stove & Fireplace website it looked like I might have a chance to find a door. I sent an email to them asking if the door was available. I got an immediate response saying they had one in stock. I place an order online and it shipped out the same day. It's a perfect replacement. I will always check with RMS&F first if I ever need anything else for the stove.
