HearthStone Heritage 8021 Upper Ash Grate

This OEM Hearthstone ash grate is designed for use with the below unit:
- Hearthstone 8021 Heritage wood stove 2003-2014
For the older model Heritage 8020 please see part #2610-018 and the newer 8022, 8023 and 8024 stoves see #2010-219
Cast iron ash grates can warp with time, this is normal: If your ash grate has warped, you should inspect and possibly replace your ash pan housing door gasket. If this gasket leaks air into the ash pan housing it can cause the fire to burn hotter then designed, causing the new ash grate to warp very quickly just like the old one.

ash grate availability
I was particularly impressed with the ease of ordering from Rocky Mountain Stove & Fireplace and the price and rapid delivery. The company in WA where I bought my stove wanted $125 plus $25 shipping for the grate and never delivered on the order.

Upper Ash Grate
Grate works as expected. It is too expensive, but all Hearthstone replacement parts are too expensive.

Not quite finished
The ash grate was the correct one for the application. Unfortunately it was not finished well when it was removed from the casting mold. The two sides had rough slag left that prevented it from sliding forward and backwards as designed. I was able to grind the sides smooth with little effort and it works perfectly now. Wish the parts were better quality control inspected.

Upper Ash Grate
I love my Hearthstone Heritage stove but after 15 years I could not open or close the upper ash grate to adjust the fire. Turns out it had warped and needed replacement. Rocky Mountain Stoves had the exact part at a great price. I received it 3 days later and the problem was solved. Stove works like new.
