Ensure the BLOWER is disconnected from any source of power during installation, removal, or service.
Before You Begin: Check your stove - if there are two threaded studs extending down from the bottom rear of the stove, you can skip to step 2. If your stove has two bolts securing the rear of the valve bracket to the bottom of the stove, start with step 1.
Procedure:
1. Locate and remove the two ¼-20 X 5/8” bolts that secure the rear of the valve bracket to the bottom of the stove. Thread one ¼” nut onto each of the ¼-20 X 1-1/4” long, studs provided so that there is about 3/8” of the thread exposed. Screw this end into the bottom of the stove where the bolts were previously removed. Thread them in until the nut bottoms out against the valve bracket. Tighten the nuts with a 7/16” wrench or deep socket to lock the studs in place.
2. Install the blower from the back, underneath the stove. Position the blower so that the cord with the rheostat box is oriented toward the front of the stove. Locate the holes on the mounting bracket on the blower housing. Insert the threaded rods into the holes and raise blower loosely into position. Place a washer, lock washer, and 1/4-20 nut on each of the threaded studs - tighten by hand. Slide the blower assembly towards the front of the stove until the snap switch is pressed firmly against the bottom casting. Tighten both of the nuts with the 7/16" wrench to finish the installation. Ensure the snap switch is still pressed firmly against the lower casting.
3. Place the rheostat box under the stove in preparation for installation in the lower right side of the control compartment. Note that the facade has three holes in it. One large hole for the rheostat knob stem to go through, and two small holes for attaching the rheostat to the facade. Position the rheostat box on the front façade and align the holes in the rheostat box to the holes in the facade. Insert the 8-32 screws into the mounting holes and tighten with a screwdriver.
Blower Operation:
It will take several minutes for the sensor to heat up sufficiently to activate the blower (about 120 degrees F). The rheostat controls the blower fan speed. To turn the blower on, turn the control knob clockwise until it clicks. The fans are at the highest setting when first turned on. Turn the knob clockwise reduce the speed. To turn the blower off, turn the knob counterclockwise until it clicks into the off position
