HearthStone 2010-228 Upper Ash Grate

Grate works as expected. It is too expensive, but all Hearthstone replacement parts are too expensive.

The ash grate was the correct one for the application. Unfortunately it was not finished well when it was removed from the casting mold. The two sides had rough slag left that prevented it from sliding forward and backwards as designed. I was able to grind the sides smooth with little effort and it works perfectly now. Wish the parts were better quality control inspected.

I love my Hearthstone Heritage stove but after 15 years I could not open or close the upper ash grate to adjust the fire. Turns out it had warped and needed replacement.
